Protecting Your Investment: Why Turf Maintenance Is Essential
Synthetic fields endure constant, high-impact use. Over time, heavy traffic causes debris to accumulate deep within the turf system. Dirt, leaves, broken turf fibers, and fragments of athletic equipment become trapped—along with biohazards such as blood, sweat, and skin cells.
Our intensive cleaning process, Turf Guard 365, effectively removes embedded trash and debris while thoroughly disinfecting the playing surface—restoring cleanliness and improving player safety.
A synthetic turf field that receives regular, intensive deep cleaning is safer and performs at a higher level. Proper maintenance restores a softer, more consistent playing surface while grooming turf fibers to improve appearance and playability.
Deep cleaning also protects your investment. Fields that are routinely cleaned and maintained experience a significantly longer lifespan—adding years of use and preserving thousands of dollars in field value.

FAF Turf Guard 365
1. GMAX Test
G-Max testing assesses how well your turf absorbs impact and protects athletes. Using standardized drop-weight measurements, we test the field both before and after cleaning to clearly show the increased softness and safety of your playing surface.

2. Friction Sweep
The friction sweeping process removes organic and environmental debris from your turf. By preventing hazardous buildup, it creates a safer playing surface, stands up turf fibers, and redistributes infill. This method efficiently collects sticks, leaves, pine needles, stones, goose droppings, and even small plastic or metal objects.

3. Aerate / Decompaction
The FAF decompaction process loosens compacted infill and lifts turf fibers to restore proper drainage. By preventing surface hardening and bringing trapped debris to the top for removal, this service renews the turf’s natural resilience and strengthens its overall structural support.

4. Power Clean
The power cleaning process combines high-efficiency vacuuming with precision brushing to lift turf fibers and clear the turf of leaves, sunflower seeds, and other debris. The vacuum system uses multiple screens and filters to capture dust and dirt while returning cleaned infill back into the turf where it belongs.

5. Power Brush, Groom & Magnet
The FAF grooming process utilizes an integrated power brush to lift turf fibers into an upright position and evenly redistribute infill, leaving the surface plush and uniform. The attached magnet collects ferrous materials hidden within the field and infill, enhancing safety and field integrity.

6. Disinfecting
Our disinfecting treatment uses industry-approved disinfectants formulated to kill COVID, MRSA, viruses, fungi, and other harmful pathogens. This process cleans and sanitizes the field, inhibits mold growth, and eliminates biohazards such as blood, sweat, and urine. Disinfecting prevents illness, reduces odors, and protects the turf—ensuring a safer and healthier environment for athletes.

7. GMAX Test (Final Verification)
In the final step, we perform a follow-up G-Max test to confirm that the playing surface meets ASTM/STC standards for impact safety and athlete injury prevention.
